Twenty Oh Seven

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Y’ALL!

I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to anyone and everyone who even gives a lick about this little website of mine (the few, the proud). If you’ve ever said to yourself, “I wonder where Dallan’s playing this week?", or “What’s that goof ball been up to lately?” (hell, I’ll even take an occasional “I need to get ahold of that sumbitch. He owes me money,” if I can get it) then I salute you. If you fall into any of these categories, thank you immensely, baby, and I wish you an incredible 2007. It’s because of you that I have what I like to refer to as a “music career” and have been enjoying said vocation for over a decade now. Extra special thanks go to the Queen of Music Fans herself, Dana Hastings, who put this site together for me.

In the months to come, I promise to uphold my end of the bargain by continuing to bring the rock to the people. I’m going to strive to push myself to entertain in bold new manners and to always put true music fans first above everything else. I’m hoping that we can all continue our crazy journeys on into 2007 with just a little more health, joy, luck and class then we’ve had previous. I’m an eternal optimist, so I don’t just wish it to be so, I know that’s the way it’s going to be. Onward and upward!

Indulge me while I debut my new and admittedly nonchalant catch phrase for the coming year.

“Oh Sev? Whatev.”

Catchy, huh?

My deepest gratitude to all of you. Peace.

Chadsters & Chadettes,

Happy holidays, gang. The Chadwicks are gearing up for some serious joy and jubilation and we’re hoping you’ll come join in. The “eggnog” will be flowing and we’ll be rocking around the Christmas tree tonight at Martini Ranch in Scottsdale from 10 ’til 2AM. It’s all part of a very cool yule, so don’t even think about not showing up. You don’t want to end up on Santa’s sh!t list, do you?

Cherry Flavored Grunge! Mmm, mmm good.

Well the temperature has been dropping and it’s officially Winter. That can only mean one thing. As my Mother would say, “It’s time to break out the flannels.” And I’m not just talking about sheets and shirts.

Starting January 17th, The Flannels begin a weekly Wednesday night residency at Club Cherry on Mill Ave. in Tempe. It’s a brand, spankin’ new hang that just opened this week and we’re planning on blowing the roof off the place.

If you’re not familiar with The Flannels then getcher ass on over to www.theflannels.com and find out what’s been missing in your life. Namely, a heapin’ helpin’ of good old early 90’s rock. Got grunge? Ya do now.

Get in on the ground floor. Come join us Wed., January 17th at Club Cherry in Tempe for the start of something very special.

Rock Saves Lives

It was kind of a long day, for both of us, but we just got back from the Papa Roach concert at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, and my girl and I have successfully had our faith in the world restored. What a rush. Zero frills. Zero gimmick. Just lights, smoke and a kick-ass, in-your-face rock n’ roll band proving once again that one great rock n’ roll show can nourish souls and save lives. Thank you, Papa Roach. We owe you one.
